How we're keeping everyone safe and healthy
Following the lates Prime Minister’s announcement regarding a second national lockdown, we are urgently seeking clarification from the Government on the impact of the lockdown to our stores and will keep this page updated as the situation develops.
Please note that furniture delivery / secure collection is not impacted by this announcement and will continue as normal.
Following COVID-19 Guidelines
For the safety of our customers and everyone who works at VFM Home Living, we’re carefully following the government’s COVID-19 secure guidelines around workplace safety. We’re continually monitoring this guidance and updating and enhancing our own routines whenever we need to.
Social distancing in stores
We’re asking everyone to keep at least 2 metres apart from other customers and Furniture Village employees. Government guidelines require us to allow 12.5 sqm of floor space per person, but we’re limiting customer numbers so that there’s 25 sqm per person and 50 sqm per family group.

Hand sanitising and store cleaning
We’re asking everybody who comes into a store to use hand sanitiser before browsing. Additional hand sanitising stations are located throughout each store. We’ve also introduced frequent and thorough in-store cleaning routines with a particular focus on surfaces like door handles and stair handrails.
Personal protective equipment
Store team members have been provided with personal protective equipment including face visors. We’ve also installed protective Perspex screens at our sales consultants’ desks. Disposable pens for signing order paperwork are readily available.

Avoiding physical contact
As we all know, one of the best ways to help stop the spread of COVID-19 is to avoid physical contact with other people. As well as keeping your distance when visiting one of our stores, please know that there’s no need to shake our consultants’ hands – a friendly wave will do.

Safe, non-contact delivery
For your peace of mind, our delivery specialists observe strict social distancing. This includes working in fixed pairs with in-van Perspex dividing screens. They also wear face masks, protective gloves and shoe coverings, use hand sanitiser before and after every delivery, and have their temperature taken several times a day.

Wear a face covering
We’re asking everyone to wear a face covering at all times when visiting one of our stores to comply with the most recent government guidance.
